This website, rootandrisewellbeing.com, is a platform created and owned by Robert Ritchie and hosted by Wix.com. By using the site, you agree to the terms outlined here, which may be updated at any time. All content and photography are the property of Robert Ritchie and may not be used or reproduced without written permission. To help prevent misuse, right-click functionality has been disabled.

Personal Data Collected

Information such as your name, date of birth, address, phone number, and email may be collected during booking or consultation. This data is used solely to manage appointments and maintain client records.

Payments

All appointments require a non-refundable £25 advanced deposit.
Payments appear as Robert Ritchie – Reiki Therapy, processed securely by SumUp.
Deposits are non-refundable, and changes with less than 48 hours’ notice are fully chargeable and will be requested from any stored payment card you have used.
Failure to pay the deposit will result in the appointment being cancelled.
No payment information is stored by Robert Ritchie/Root and Rise Wellbeing.com.

Cancellations & Refunds

Appointments must be cancelled or rescheduled with at least 48 hours’ notice.
Late cancellations or no-shows will not be refunded.
Deposits are non-refundable, and changes with less than 48 hours’ notice are fully chargeable and will be requested from any stored payment card you have used.
If your practitioner must cancel, you’ll be offered an alternative appointment or a full refund within 72 hours.

Data Storage & Access

Your data is stored securely using password-protected devices and online systems. It is retained for up to seven years (5 years for insurance purposes) unless you request permanent deletion via email. You can amend or delete your data through your Setmore customer portal if you chose to create one.

Sharing Personal Information

Your data will only be shared to meet legal, professional, or medical requirements, and only with your written consent—except in emergencies or legal circumstances.

This site does not use tracking or analytical cookies. By following external links (e.g., Wix, Instagram, SumUp or Setmore), you enter into separate agreements with those providers. Review their individual policies, as Robert Ritchie/Root and Rise Wellbeing is not responsible for any issues that may arise from third-party use.

Appointment Restrictions

Please do not book if you:

Are under 18
Are under the influence of drugs/alcohol
Have symptoms of COVID-19
Have unhealed fractures, muscle tears, or contagious infections
Have open wounds, lice, or mites
Have certain untreated or active health conditions (e.g., cancer, diabetes, epilepsy) without a medical clearance letter.

Notify Robert of any allergies before booking.

Managing Appointments

Appointments can be managed via the customer portal you created via Setmore or by emailing hello@rootandrisewellbeing.com. Deposits are non-refundable, and changes with less than 48 hours’ notice are fully chargeable and will be requested from any stored payment card you have used.

Indemnity

You agree not to hold Robert Ritchie responsible for any outcomes following your treatment, including injury, allergic reactions, or personal/financial loss or life decisions. It is your responsibility to disclose allergies or conditions during the consultation.

Accessibility

Treatment rooms are located at The Practice Rooms in Leeds and Sheffield, both of which have limited accessibility due to their historic layouts. If you have mobility concerns, contact the Practice Rooms directly at 0800 6444 066 or info@thepracticerooms.co.uk.
