The name Root + Rise Wellbeing reflects the essence of my approach: supporting people to feel rooted, safe, and held, while also gently encouraging growth, resilience, and renewed interconnectedness with themselves.

ABOUT ROBERT
Hello, I’m Robert, a Clinical Reiki Energy Master practitioner based in Sheffield.
My own path into Reiki began long before formal training, rooted in years of clinical work within the NHS, where I worked across Operating Theatres, Oncology, and Palliative Care. Working so closely with people at their most vulnerable, quietly but profoundly, reshaped my understanding of healing. I saw first-hand that excellent clinical care, while essential, does not always reach the deeper layers where fear, meaning, identity, and peace reside.
It was during this time that I first became aware of Reiki, massage and many other complementary health therapies from the visiting therapists. What struck me was not only their gentleness, but their capacity to meet people exactly where they were — without needing to fix, rush, or explain anything away.
Alongside my clinical work and practice, I became increasingly curious about the subtler dimensions of healing—and how presence, touch, and emotional safety can profoundly shape a person’s experience of illness, recovery, and end‑of‑life care.
Now, as a clinical practitioner of Reiki, I apply recent clinical and scientific approaches to the study and practice of Reiki, while embodying the essential knowledge, skills and regular self‑practice with hands‑on clinical experience, to professionally and confidently deliver Reiki Energy Healing to both my patients and clients.
What began as a simple interest in Reiki has now grown into a deep commitment to lifelong learning, practice, and service.
